City of Austin (COA) MBE/WBE Program:
COA MBE/WBE Program aims to redress business disparities that exit
in the market place in five Texas counties, including Travis,
Williamson, Hays, Bastrop and Caldwell, for minority and women-owned
businesses. A disparity study is conducted every five to sixe
years to establish the legal framework for the program, which
is renewed by Austin City Council by its sun set date per year.
The program sets participation goals for each ethnic subgroup
to encourage prime contractors to select subcontractors from these

ACA Objectives :
- Promote the growth of Asian contractors in Cenral Texas
through government contracting
- Advocate for their utilization and participation of City
of Austin Minority and Women-Owned Business Procurement Program
- Increase their visibility and capabilities in performing
large-scale projects with prime contractors as subcontractors
or subconsultants
